ZetaChain

What is ZetaChain?

ZetaChain is a Layer 1 blockchain built for omnichain apps — decentralised applications that can work across many different blockchains at once. Its big idea is simple: instead of forcing users to switch networks and bridge tokens manually, ZetaChain lets developers build apps that interact with assets and data on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other chains from a single place. The network uses a proof-of-stake design and supports smart contracts that can read and write across connected chains, which opens the door to truly chain-agnostic DeFi, payments, and NFT experiences for everyday users.

ZetaChain testnet details

The ZetaChain testnet is live and open for public testing. Users can connect an EVM-compatible wallet, claim free testnet ZETA tokens from the official faucet, and try out omnichain features such as cross-chain swaps and messaging. Developers can also deploy and test omnichain smart contracts on the testnet. The team runs community quests, XP campaigns, and feedback programmes to reward active testers and improve the network before mainnet. Testnet activity, including transactions, cross-chain swaps, and dApp usage, is widely seen as the main way to qualify for a possible future airdrop.

How to join the ZetaChain testnet airdrop

1. Set up an EVM wallet such as MetaMask and add the ZetaChain testnet network.
2. Visit the official ZetaChain faucet and claim free testnet ZETA tokens.
3. Try omnichain features: perform cross-chain swaps, send testnet transactions, and explore testnet dApps.
4. Join the official ZetaChain Discord and take part in quests and community campaigns.
5. Stay active over several weeks and keep an eye on new testnet missions.

Tips and safety

Only use links from the official ZetaChain website and verified social accounts. Never share your seed phrase or private keys. Testnet tokens are free and have no real value, so anyone who tries to sell them is running a scam. Check the official channels regularly for new campaigns and keep your wallet active.
