What is Pi Network?

Pi Network was founded by Stanford graduates with a simple idea: let people mine crypto on their phones without battery drain, using a trust-graph model instead of energy-intensive proof-of-work. Add trusted members to your security circle to boost your rate, verify your phone number and identity in the app profile, and complete KYC inside the Pi Browser app — KYC is required for mainnet migration. Migrate your balance via the Mainnet Checklist, then hold, use PI in ecosystem apps, or transfer to exchanges. Keep sessions going: after 30 days of inactivity you must restart. One account per person — duplicates are blocked from migration.

Is Pi Network legit?

Pi is a real project with a real team, a live mainnet, and a listed token — not a scam. The honest downsides: the price has fallen hard from ATH, KYC backlogs are a recurring pain point, and phishing spikes around every real KYC update. Only ever use the in-app KYC flow and minepi.com.

Safety tips

No real airdrop ever asks for your seed phrase. Phishing attacks surge around Pi KYC announcements — never enter credentials on links from DMs or emails. Never pay to “speed up” KYC or migration.
